Fat Calories
Do you ever wonder why you suddenly put on weight even though you
haven’t changed your diet? The realisation hits you with shock
horror when you discover that ‘special outfit’ you haven’t worn for
a while no longer fits – somehow, mysteriously, you have put on
several pounds. There is a simple yet little known explanation – Fat
Calories! To stay the same weight you need to eat a certain number
of calories each day – eat more and you put on weight – eat less and
you lose weight. This, however, is all based on average, normal
calories but just like humans calories are not all the same. Some
calories can be very, very fat and, as far as your weight is
concerned, eating one fat calorie is the equivalent of eating three
normal calories. Even when you are calorie counting, if you are
unfortunate enough to get a lot of fat calories in your food they
will cause you to gain weight. So next time you get a shock at the
scales don’t blame yourself – blame those pesky, fat calories.
